DESCRIPTION

Small tattoos are compact designs that represent a memory, an emotion, or a personal trait that defines you. They can be minimalistic, fine-line drawings, sometimes enhanced with subtle shading or delicate details. These small pieces often carry deep personal meaning and discreetly tell the story of their wearer or showcase their favorite symbols.

Micro Realism: This technique condenses the classic realistic style into a design only a few centimeters in size.
  • Characteristics: Surprisingly detailed, with a highly realistic, photo-like appearance.
  • Popular Designs: Miniature animal portraits (such as a dog’s head), fruits, or tiny reproductions of famous paintings.
Dotwork (Stippling Technique): The design is created not with continuous lines, but through the density of tiny dots.
  • Characteristics: Unique texture and a softer appearance compared to line-based tattoos.
  • Popular Designs: Mandala details and spiritual symbols.

AFTERCARE

 

Austrian regulations (particularly the professional recommendations of the WKO – Austrian Federal Economic Chamber) and the relevant health regulations (such as BGBl. II No. 141/2003, which forms the basis of Austrian tattoo training) require strict hygiene protocols to prevent infections and ensure optimal healing.

The official aftercare steps are as follows:

  • Protective Film and Initial Cleaning: The protective film (or dressing) applied by the tattoo artist should be removed according to their instructions, usually after a few hours. After removal, gently wash the tattoo with lukewarm running water and a mild, fragrance-free soap, then pat it dry with a clean paper towel. Do not rub the area.
  • Moisturizing: Apply a thin layer of a tattoo aftercare cream several times a day to keep the skin hydrated, supple, and protected from drying out.
    Hygiene Restrictions (for 3 Weeks): During the healing period—which takes at least 21 days—you must avoid swimming pools, saunas, tanning beds, and direct sunlight. These can significantly increase the risk of infection and may damage the tattoo pigments.
  • Mechanical Protection: Do not scratch or pick at any scabs that form, as this may lead to scarring and color loss. We recommend wearing loose, clean cotton clothing that does not rub against the tattooed area.
